About TTIFE

TTI Field Engineering (TTIFE) provides a broad range of Field Engineering services to clients and end-users of large industrial power generation and compression equipment in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Refining industries. Our Field Engineering services cover performance, thermodynamics and heat transfer, vibration and analysis of rotating and fixed equipment. This involves the collection of operating data using data acquisition systems connected to field installed sensors and cabling. We utilize the engineering data collected in the field, coupled with vendor or OEM documentation, drawings, data sheets, and other engineering specifications to analyze the customer’s equipment and provide guidance and recommendations for improved reliability, and continued operation.

The Field Engineer is expected to know, understand and practice the fundamental engineering principles of both rotating and fixed equipment. The TTIFE Field Engineer will be required to collect process operating data, vibration data, and any other relevant information in support of assessing the equipment condition, determining a root cause, or general overall equipment health. The Field Engineer is expected to be comfortable collecting data over varying durations ranging from minutes to hours. Depending on customer requirements and the nature of the project, it may take up to a full day for each piece of equipment to be analyzed. Upon completion, the TTIFE Field Engineer will be responsible for disconnecting and removing sensors, disassembly of all associated diagnostic equipment and data acquisition systems and ensuring proper storage and maintenance of the equipment. The TTIFE Field Engineer may also be responsible for collecting accurate and precise equipment operating data, such as pressure, temperature, speed, flowrate, etc., as well as documenting equipment conditions. The TTIFE Field Engineer will provide this data to the Field Engineering manager for analysis, comments, and recommendations, which will be presented to the client. The TTIFE Field Engineer is expected to be a self-starter who is comfortable seeking advice or counsel. Above all the TTIFE Vibration Analyst must operate safely and must be able to collect precise and accurate data for analysis.
